Beta Chitosan (pronounced Kite-O-san) is a dietary supplement which can effectively reduce the absorption of fat in the diet. Taken from the cartilage in squid which is left over from the culinary sector of the fish, the soluble fibre acts as a kind of magnet for fat and other high calorie substances introduced into the digestive tract.
